I know all about other Villagers complaining but I can only speak for myself and my son, John Clifton, who is a permanent resident at 2395 Chestnut Terrace. He feels very competent that this company finally did a wonderful job. After asking if you could possibly send another company to work on the siding, you sent me BRIAN TERRY VINYL INC. Wayne and Jack with Brian Terry Vinyl Inc. came and started work on the front of the house at 2411 where inspection stated one side of the window needed repairing. However, they noticed other issues and started removing the vinyl. Nails were missing, vinyl strips were not level, and all points of the windows were letting water in behind the vinyl due to non-uniform cuts or strips too short. One strip of 10' vinyl that I observed was held by only one nail. Many other strips were found to be the same as the first strip. Wayne continued around the ENTIRE house removing all the strips, leveling the strips, re- fitting all the window comers and starter strips to allow for proper installation of ALL exterior walls. They found many irregularities and fixed all needing repair. Then they went to our other house at 2395 and did the same complete repair of vinyl siding. I cannot tell you how good my son and I feel as to the entire vinyl completion of both houses. We know now the job has been completed by master craftsmen. They exhibited skill and care with their professional installation techniques. We know that we are only two of many houses that are having issues regarding vinyl siding, but we also know that Brian Terry Vinyl, Inc. with their expertise and knowledge could make the rest of the people in the villages feel secure with the installation of their vinyl siding, After all ... Security is the feeling that we have been lacking for so long in regards to vinyl siding issues. We are so thoroughly happy with the promptness regarding issues that needed to be addressed. We now feel very secure living here in The Villages.

My thanks and appreciation. A few weeks ago, I called your office regarding my concern about some sagging of the vinyl soffit type material in the ceiling of our lanai. I spoke with Camilla and her only question related to when it would be convenient for us to have someone come to inspect and make repairs as needed. I explained the house was over two years old and was not sure of any warranty that might exist. She expressed that was not an issue, as our satisfaction was the mail issue. A crew of tow young gentlemen arrived and completed the job within a few short days of my call. [ intended to follow -up with a note expressing my gratitude and I apologize for not doing so upon completion of the job. (Not all of us are as efficient ... ). And now the latest: Approximately two weeks ago, we had an aluminum contractor come and enclose our lanai, which required some vinyl siding work around the lower portion. The installer told me he used to work on Villages homes, installing vinyl siding. Having read the horror stories about vinyl siding problems in The Villages, promulgated by one of the local property owners associations, I asked the worker what he thought of our siding. To me, everything about our siding looked good, However, he pulled some siding nest to one of our windows and showed me where he thought there should be a piece of siding or "tar paper" at the lower comer of each window, both left and right sides in order to better facilitate water run-off. He stated that if water should get to where it should not go, that the result could allow mold to grow. I knew right away that this would not be a good thing. After the crew left, I once more called you office, feeling more than a little bit embarrassed, asking again for you company's interventions. Again no questions nor second guessing. Camilla checked date and time with me and said she would have someone come and do whatever was needed, Wayne (Big Brother ©) came and checked out the vinyl siding installation around our windows. His assessment was that it could be easily done and would be done in a couple of days. When I ask his opinion regarding the perceived need for adding the additional material around each window, he felt it was not really necessary, but if we wanted it done it would be done ... no problem. To me, it was mostly a matter of peace of mind, as we hope to occupy this home for quite some time. Now who could possibly find fault or have a problem with a company that treats a homeowner as described above? Quite obviously, based on what we've seen in print, some or several Villages homeowners have not benefited from the kind of service, attitude and respect we have enjoyed from you and your people. I commend and thank you! I also congratulate you for heading a company that is willing to provide service above and beyond normal expectation.
